    Why You Should Recertify?

    Earning your SHRM certification isn't the final step.  As a SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP you recognize the relevance and importance of SHRM certification.  Earning your certification was a proactive a step toward a rewarding career and a commitment to advancing the future of HR.

    Recertification is how you will continue to grow and adapt to meet the evolving needs of the profession. 

    Maintaining your credential is easier than you might think:

    • Earn 60 professional development credits (PDCs) every three years, or retake the certification exam.   
    • There are numerous ways to earn PDCs, from attending conferences and seminars to volunteering and contributing resources to the advancement of the HR profession. 

    Through the recertification process you will expand your knowledge, seek out new and rewarding experiences as well as showcase to employers that you are dedicated to implementing innovative, strategic, and ethical thinking in your HR practices.
