The Art of Getting Work Done

Have you ever been on a committee where members couldn’t come to consensus and problems were not resolved? Most people have experienced this frustration. It leads people to dread committee work or avoid it altogether. In this workshop participants will explore the Compass Points tool as a means to help committee members work together effectively. Like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Compass Points tool is based on four dimensions of personality, yet is focused on group behavior. Compass Points helps people understand the motivations of others, which improves communication. It also focuses on valuing the contributions of others. Work gets done when people work together in a spirit of mutual appreciation.
