2022 HR Awards Nominations

    Nominations must be received no later than Friday, August 12, 2022.
    The Dolly Shaw Vermont Human Resources Professional of the Year Award recognizes exceptional performance and outstanding achievement by a professional in the field of human resource management. Dolly Shaw was one of the founding members of the Vermont Human Resource Association (VTHRA) in 1969 and was an amazing force behind growing and sustaining this HR network over many years. She served a 40-year career at Champlain College as their Director of Career Services, and was relentless in her pursuit of delivering high-quality HR learning opportunities for the professional community. This award is given annually to a person exemplifying Dolly’s deep commitment to the HR profession, the HR community, continuous learning, and mentorship. Specifically, we seek to affirm and distinguish an individual who can demonstrate accomplishments in one or more of the following areas:
    ●       Applies advanced knowledge of human resources to substantially impact business outcomes through HR leadership, strategy, and/or development.
    ●       Has created significant value by applying creative and innovative management concepts and implemented programs in any of the HR disciplines that positively impacted an organization and its talent. 
    ●       Advances and elevates the HR profession in their organization, industry, and community.
    ●       Exemplifies the highest standards of the profession and serves as a role model for peers.
     
                   Eligibility criteria for this award includes:
    ●       Typically, a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the HR profession.
    ●       Current member of a SHRM Chapter.
    ●       Demonstrates integrity, leadership, innovation, strategic thinking, character, objectivity, passion, and influence.

    The Vermont Human Resources Emerging Professional of the Year Award recognizes an individual who is relatively new to the HR profession – and yet, has shown themselves to be innovative, impactful, and effective in their work and contributions.
    Specifically, we seek to award an individual who can demonstrate accomplishments in one or more of the following areas:
    ●       Successful work and performance in business situations not normally associated with those new to the HR profession.
    ●       Innovative, creative and/or “out of the box” thinking to resolve a problem or complete a project.
    ●       Significant impact to the Human Resources function and/or reputation within the organization.
    ●       Excellence through creativity, new ideas, and/or new programming.
    ●       Highly effective utilization of well-regarded principles of HR (i.e., SHRM competencies).
                   Eligibility criteria for this award includes:
    ●       Typically, less than 10 years’ experience in the HR profession.
    ●       Current member of a SHRM Chapter.
