The Vermont State Council encourages all HR professionals or employees fulfilling the role of HR to join SHRM and a local chapter (listed below). SHRM Vermont State Council has been selected as a Superior Honor State Council by SHRM, which indicates that it has achieved excellence in fulfilling its mission of:
- Serving as a conduit for communication between SHRM members and chapters.
- Coordinating chapter efforts at the state level.
- Facilitating services and programs for the collective interests Vermont's membership and chapter leaders and all SHRM members in the state.
Serving the Human Resource professional and advancing the Human Resource profession by serving as a resource for the HR professional in matters of education, strategic direction, legislative lobbying and promotion and enhancement of Human Resources as a profession.
